Preparing your materials before submitting your order helps us review your project quickly, avoid delays, and ensure everything is processed accurately. If you're unsure which service you need, or have questions about your project, we're happy to help before you submit.

Pattern Grading

Required Materials:
  • Cutter’s must
  • Base size pattern
  • Sizes to be graded
  • Sample garment or clear photographs
If You’re Sending a Digital Pattern, Please Include:
  • Digital pattern file
  • Screenshot confirming the file imported correctly
If You’re Sending a Manual Pattern, Your Pattern Should Include: 
  • Clear notches using a notching tool or “T” marks
  • Grainlines clearly marked with a line and arrow
Seam Lines

If you would like us to digitize seam lines, they must be clearly marked on the pattern.

For domestic production, we typically digitize cut lines only. For overseas production, we recommend digitizing both cut lines and seam lines. Please let us know your preference when submitting your project.

Please ensure your pattern includes:

  • Clear notches using a notching tool or “T” marks
  • Grainlines clearly marked with a line and arrow

Pattern Digitizing

We’ll convert your manual patterns into digital files for production.

Required Materials:
  • Cutter’s must
  • Base size pattern
  • Completed Digitizing Form (one form per style)
  • Clear notches using a notching tool or “T” marks
  • Grainlines clearly marked with a line and arrow
Seam Lines:

If seam lines need to be digitized, they must be clearly marked on the pattern.

File Format:

Before submitting your project, confirm the required file format with your factory or pattern maker. DXF is the most common format, but we can provide several file types depending on your production requirements.

Plot Digital Files

Need your digital patterns printed? We can plot both DXF and PDF files.

Please Include:
  • Digital file
  • Company name
  • Style name or style number
PDF Requirements:
  • Maximum size: 58″ × 72″
  • Include a 10″ × 10″ test square to verify scale
  • Use black or dark-colored lines for the best print quality

For Every Project, Please:

  • Email your project files to Dina@createamarkernyc.com.
  • Include your company name and style name or style number in both the email subject line and the body of your email.
  • Send each style in a separate email.
  • Include all project instructions with your submission.
  • Complete any required forms before sending your files.
